The Echo: Living, Breathing, Musical New Delay Effect in Reason 6
Nov 18, 2011 Propellerhead Reason & Record
One thing that I have wanted for a long time in Reason is a new delay effect that I could play like a musical instrument. One that could get all the grungy vintage analog and tape delay effects, with infinite feedback (filtered of course) that would react to changes in delay time just like an old analog effect. In Reason 6, Propellerhead has given me that and more in the form of The Echo!

Puliveriser Demolition – The new way to shred your sound in Reason 6
Nov 4, 2011 Propellerhead Reason & Record
The first time I used Pulveriser, I did not read the instruction manual. I simply put it on a drum loop, twisted a couple of knobs, and immediately my drums went from “ok drums” to “totally bad ass twisted evil awesome drums.” At that moment I knew: We are going to hear people using Pulveriser on a lot of music from here on out! Never before have I used a sound processor that made it so easy to drastically improve the sound of my drums, vocals, and bass sounds.

Propellerhead Record: The Channel Strip Compressor, Demystified
Apr 15, 2011 Line 6 Tips & Tricks, Propellerhead Reason & Record
A relatively large number of people who make music actually have a rather vague idea about what compression is. Is the compressor the “good” button that makes everything sound better? Warmer? Louder? Smoother? Is it like a delicious barbeque sauce that you can put on everything, the more the better? Not really! Line 6′s Propellerhead Product Specialist Matt Piper talks about the Channel Strip Compressor included on each audio channel in Propellerhead Record, and explains in plain English some fundamental concepts of audio compression.
